Was in Cambridge last weekend... Very nice club, more a bar type of club than a Rileys...Darren played a money match against Indy (Ricardo "Indiana" Jones)
Not the greatest display of their capabilities but still very good to watch!

It was weird seeing Darren play English pool, I know he's very good at it but I normally don't go to any English pool events..
Also a well done to Scott Higgins..Seems he starts a lot of his matches being down4-0, 6-1 or something like that but he doesn't give up and fights back!!!

Yep I'm back

Last weekend Darren Appleton won the BPPPA Barnsley Open!!!
2nd one in a row that he has played in!
Got pictures and video's of the last 8 racks...
When I've got time I'll upload them...

This weekend I'm helping him do the UK Masters (English pool) in Miscues Barnsley..
£250 a man!
19 people came to play in this tournament!
On my way to a friend house now to get a shower (as our bathroom is being fitted at the momenyt...)
And then to Miscues to see the last 8 battle it out today!!!

The Barnsley 9-ball Open..
this to celebrate that Rileys in Barnsley has been open for a year in October...
The date to put in your calendar is the 6th and the 7th...
Groups will be playing on the Saturday and follwed by a special event on that night...
Sunday will see the start fo the single knock out fase and a plate competition for the people that unfortunately didn't qualify for the Sunday...

Now something in general...
Looking for a new job.. Need something Monday to Friday, because the shifts I'm doing now is killing my social life (if I had one)..
Not really affected by any of the floods.. Good luck to all the others that do have had problems because of this.. Hope everything will work out fine...
We've moved about 5 weeks ago...
House is starting to look like a house.. Nowhere near unpacking all the boxes!

Been extremely busy with work, moving house and all the other stuff that has happened lately....

New Dutch record 14.1

Well done Nick.. The new Dutch record stands at 293 now...

There' a lot pf things happening in the English Pool scene now..
And they are not really positive..
Unfortunately there's not much I can do about this at the moment.
I think the people that really know me, know how frustrated I am with everything that has been happening lately...
I wish I could speak out but that might hurt the pool scene more!
Things are going to change!!!
Soon!!
In what way I don't know but I can tell you that I will be helping it as much as possible..
In the ideal world, I'd have a bit of money to keep myself alive, and so I can dedicate all my time to this sport...
But unfortunately, I need my full-time job a the moment...
There's a lot of my free time and holidays being spent for pool.. And I don't mind...
But I do want to see the sport go forward and not down...

This is as much as I can say at the moment...

Just wanted to let some of you know that I fully understand the frustration but changes are coming somehow...
Just wait because we can't achieve these changes in a day....
My trust is gone too...
But I'm hoping that some of the suggestions that we have received will be taken in regards and things will change..

If we all give up hope, we might as well all quit, because there's no point anyways...

So I'm asking you all...
Even if you've lost all hope in the BPPPA...
Keep believing in me and the others that are really trying to help!!!

It will be held in Miscues (Barnsley) so unfortunately this time there's no traveling included...

This weekend there's a tournament in Stretford... A open tournament they are organizing themselves... Pro's (whatever they are)on Saturday and the others on Sunday..

Next weekend is my birthday weekend... I know my b-day is long over but there was no other available weekend left to go to London...

Going to a West end show (Blood brothers), nice dinner in Soho (Chinatown and the end it all: hopefully a great night in a nice hotel ;););););););)
And then I think we'll walk around London for a while before catching the train back home...

Yeah, I know...
I've been bad..
But have been so busy with work, prpearing for Germany and my birthday...

At the moment I'm in Heathrow...
Waiting for my flight to Stuttgart..
Last time I was here was when I came back from the EPT in Harrow.. During that weekend of the terrorist threats and stuff... Can't remember exactly what it was...
Not a good memory.. But this time it different.. :D

The Barnsley 8-Ball Open is coming up on the 10th of June...

And it's the first time I'm gonna celebrate this in England..

Just a quickie...

No not that kind of quickie!!!

It's my day off and promised myself to do absolutely nothing!!!
But off course..
I did have to do some work...
A few preparations for the Barnsley 8-Ball Open...
Going the right way now.. So hopefully within a week you'll see the results!

Last weekend Richard Jones won the final of Mickey Flynn's against Ian West..
Semi finalist were Lee and Raj Hundal...

Miscues...

No hangover!!!

Yesterday Miscues, the new pool hall in Barnsley, opened...
Got an invite via Lynette and Boyzi...Thanks again!!
To be honest, I've never really been interested in English pool...
Would like to see more events but don't have the time for it...
But the opening of this club might change everything...
This is gonna be the club wehere a lot of events will be held and can be held...
Amazing layout! Too bad there's only one american pooltable there.. (with red cloth, you English are weird!!) But there's another coming soon from what I've heard...

The opening was fun (got some footage of our own Mick Hill dancing and having a bit too much fun)

Lynette introduced me to a lot of people.. Can't remember all the names but they're all nuts!! And loads of fun! Hope to see you all soon again!

Darren is playing in the semi's of the Eurotour in Italy now...
He's playing Konstantin Stephanov (he reached the final last time in the Czech Republic)..So won't be an easy game but he can do it! So come on!

Gonna enjoy my day off.. No Lee because he's in Cambridge to play in the 10-ball event in Mickey Flynns tomorrow...
I'm off to work tomorrow but I'll might write something tonight to keep you up to date or because I'm really bored...:D

Guilty as charged....

First of all...

I know I'm bad...
It's just been so d*** busy..
Don't know how I'm supposed to manage everything!!!

Ok in short what happened lately:

I've won the weekly tournament 3 weeks ago in Barnsley..
Beat Lee twice 3-2 on the night..Once in the group stages and once in the final..
Also a big win for me was to finally win against mr. Nick Wollerton!! (3-1)
Won 6 of the 8 group matches so consider this one of the best night for me...

16th of March I visited the Lake district...
Beautiful!!
Never seen anything like it!!!
A bit cold, windy and wet, but it was worth it!
Thanks babe!

Well done to David Alcaide for winning the Masters...
Proofs that I can sometimes predict things!
Thanks again to Ralf and Marcus for joining Lee and me for dinner...

Well done to everybody that won something in the European Poolchampionships!!!
